telent video surveillance
The market for video surveillance systems - also known as Closed Circuit TeleVision (CCTV) - is undergoing major changes in technology.
Analog systems are being displaced by digital network-based IP technologies. Distributed IP-based networks enable flexibility and new applications, that are physically site-independent. Modern "Next Generation Networks" are able to transport the video feed to any location. Through the complete integration of already existing analog systems into the IP network, economically interesting solutions can be realised for the most diverse applications.
The system idea is important to telent. From the video camera via the all-encompassing video management system to the IP quality data network, all components must be matched to each other in order to function as a whole. The most modern digital CCTV systems deliver the familiar image features without loss of quality, plus all the advantages like automatic image processing/evaluation. Only through automatic image processing do video monitoring systems become user-friendly, target oriented and efficient.

CCTV – Solution example
Highway "lane markings"
In this case, the lane markings of a section of highway are monitored using cameras for traffic control. The monitoring length amounts to 20 km. 16 analog cameras are used, each with a video encoder.
Our SDSL transmission technology is used for the transmission of the video signal to the control centre. In the remote station, the respective digital video signals are reconverted to analog video signals using decoders and then fed to the monitors for visualisation via the video multiplex unit.
A video recorder is connected to the video multiplex unit for archival storing of the video images. This allows archiving of images from any number of cameras.
Roadway monitoring scenarios
telent is manufacturer-independent. Together with you, we select the optimal product for your requirements, meeting the technical specification you require, and the economic and operational aspects of your organisation.
For the IP networks, we recommend switches and routers from H3C and Cisco. For the video systems, we work with systems from (among others) Bosch AVT, Panasonic, Mobotix, Sony, Sanyo, Plettac, etc. Depending on your precise requirements, products from other manufacturers can also be used.
