XMP1 is a modular and highly-integrated cross-connection multiplexer. This system covers bitrates for the PDH and SDH range from 8 kbit/s and 64 kbit/s over 2 Mbit/s up to STM-1 and  STM-4.

The freely configurable PDH-CC matrix has a capacity of 496x64kbit/s. The integrated SDH matrix has a CC capacity of 32 STM-1 equivalents in the granularity VC12, VC3 and VC4.
 
The broad spectrum of interface cards for voice, ISDN and data interfaces allows for the efficient use in all types of networks. In particular, the existing equivalent network and redundancy mechanisms for operating networks with high security and reliability requirements are important.

The system can be connected via the management interface to the network management systems ServiceOn Access or ServiceOn XMP1 SOX and thus be seamlessly inserted and cost-effectively operated in larger network structures.

The XMP1 is utilised with great success in a large number of communication scenarios in the administration of railways, highways and waterways.
